Did the marble fitters make the templates?

If not I would imagine they will tell you to do one.
Yes thats what makes it worse in that they insisted they templates the areas themselves, but the templater didn't do the fitting as he had to be elsewhere so they guy that was fitting it was cursing the templater.

I would reject that - it's not even amateur standard
Yeah the whole job has turned into a nightmare to be honest.

Update the fitter came today took some photos and said to my wife they are going to look at repairing it and that its never happened before so that they need to look into how to do it, he said he may buy a kit himself and do it.
He didn't bother with the caulking to the silicone around the bottom but I'm assuming that wont be fixed until the tray is sorted.
Kicking ourselves for not spotting it but you pay these companies to do a job and to do it to a good standard and your left with something like this that cant be removed.
Even if we Wanted it moved we wont get our money back from the company.
There's no point threatening to go to a small claims court for this just seems we are stuck where we are and just have to patch up the job there done.

I'm going to call them now and say that id prefer to get a expert in the repair field in to repair it, they may have been thinking that its a mickey take asking us to find someone to repair it, now not sure what to do about the side bits where it doesn't seem aligned I think cauking it is going to look worse
