One of our tenants has reported the oven not getting hot, upon inspection I've noticed it's a make that I'd never heard of before, Lamona, but it seems that it's widely used by Howdens.
This is not a new model, it's the LAM3202, what I'm after is some info on where the element is situated, hopefully just wants replacing, but ovens I've done before have had a simple plate at the back of the inside of the oven that you unscrue to gain access to the element.
I might add that this is not a fan oven.
Thanx.

It's Howdens own brand... fairly cheap and cheerful but being basic should be easier to fix

I do hope so, but I need to get the element out for our local shop to try and match it.

Probably cheaper in the long run to replace the oven with something a bit better, I fit Howdens kitchens to all my properties but never use their appliances.

I think that they are made by Creda.

Lamona kitchen equipment can best be described with a four letter word starting with C and ending with P.

In our rental house the Lamona Oven Door fell off, and never closes properly. They make a racket on cool down too. The Fridge Freezer has an on/off switch which turns everything in the fridge into ICE or when turned down everything in the freezer defrosts.

Oh one good item is the stainless steel sink! But then the taps are C**P

Umm there really is theme here..

Lamona ovens have been manufactured by different manufacturers over the years. I had one which required a new element which I ordered through a friend who works in the business, he informed me it was a manufactured by Hotpoint.

If your oven is anything like mine was then access was gained by removing the oven from its base unit and un-doing the back panel. This then gives you access to the rear of the element where you can measure its resistance. If it's fked then it will have more than likely gone open circuit. If it reads ok ( I'd hazard a guess around 20-50ohms) then I would be looking at the thermostat next.

Very likely to be the element. As already said, you'll need to remove the integrated oven from it's housing, get the back or top/bottom cover off, then remove element. Might be mounting screws inside the oven cavity as well.
We have a place called Qualtex not far from me who are very good and always seem to have stuff in stock, or Ebay should have the element for under £20 inc delivery.
Cover removal might involve small Torx head sheetmetal screws so don't just turn up with a Philips smile

Or just bid on a used Neff.

if the correct model number is HJA3202 then its not a fan oven, its a convection oven and will have 2 elements, 1 top (doubles as grill) and one base hidden under the base of the oven. The chances of them both failing at the same time are slim so it may be a different issue.

Got a new oven switch and light fitting for our Lamona double oven from Partmaster. Good range of spares and their online search lets you narrow down by oven model. www.partmaster.co.uk

Just to update this thread, found the bottom element, ( which was oven out jobbie and unscrew the bottom plate ), was the problem, element was fine, a wire had come off, hopefully no more trouble, ( lives to regret saying that, lol ).
Thanx for all info supplied.

They'd reported saying that it wasn't working originally, but upon inspection, and reading the manual, and through posts on here, I realised that it worked using the 2 elements, so after checking the top element was working ok I then targeted the bottom one, ( after I found out where it was ), again, thanx to replies on here.

We had Lamona stuff in a rented house. It all worked okay but the oven inner glass door shattered. Twice.
