can someone in the game let me know whether I am being unreasonable.

I am selling my flat. I need the managing agent to send to my solicitor a management information pack. all this is, is print out standard information specific to my property from their computer system.

they want £510 inclusive to do this.

is this normal?

Mine was £250 plus vat, which I thought was a bit rich. This was this year, for a flat in SE London with a proper national management company.

I never saw the pack, but assume it did have a few specific questions they had to answer regarding upcoming costs etc, so maybe not just a printout.

There is normally a cost involved as there is quite a lot of paperwork to collate.

£510 seems somewhat steep. I sold a flat a few years ago, although I did not have to pay the managing agent's fee for the paperwork as Mrs Popeyed worked for them at the time, however, if I remember correctly they wanted around £200.

A Rip Off, and why the government need to introduce a legislated scheme where all Property Management Companies are legislated. Very little the OP can do at this late stage to address the PMC's payment demand.

That does seem pretty high. I sold my apartment in the UK last year and paid around £200 for the information pack. I could have got it a bit cheaper but wanted the managing agent to turn it round quickly.
