Anyone got these at all?

£399 for supply only but wondered if anyone knew what the quality of the drawers was like.

What a great idea. I've often wondered about getting something like that made up

I made a set of those for my daughter's house out of 18mm MDF. Took a bit of time but the key is getting the angle of the stairs right. Son in law, who's an Engineer measured the angle for me and did the CAD drawings at his work and I made them all in my garage/workshop. When we came to fit them, he'd got the angle wrong, it was 10 degrees out. Typical expert for you eh?laugh

Eventually got it right and they look and work brilliantly. Not hard to do but make sure you keep everything square. If anyone want the CAD drawings I'll see if I can dig them out. All in, wood and sliders, came to around £100.

Yes please! This would be idea for our under-stairs area as you can't get at the back anyway! Front needs to house electricity meter and CU so would leave some space for that and the hoover.

Assuming your stairs are a different angle to his, but as per the incorrect drawing. scratchchin

Nerdy moment, but the area under the stairs is known as the 'Spandrel'. nerd

Are you having them fit it? Mind if I ask what they charge for fitting?

Sure, it was £200, and I went for the deeper drawers which had an additional fitting charge. TBH I could probably do it myself or get a local guy for cheaper but it saves me taking a day off and keeps my weekend free for beer

Sorry Pheo, checked with s.i.l last night and he doesn't have the file anymore, so I guess you'll have to draw it up yourself. sorry about that

Interested to know what you think - Mrs Podie saw these a while back and are on the "to do" list for 2015.

Hmm interesting theme developing here - Wife has also added these to the list of stuff to get done. I'd seen several photos on google of similar things but didn't realise there was a flat pack solution.

Only thing that bothers me is that they look to made out of MDF? Not sure how durable that will be for the drawer fronts.. it seems to dent quite badly if knocked.

The drawers are made of mdf. The fronts come matt white and ready to paint if you so wish. Assume you could fill in any knocks anyway.

Pinterest is a menace. 90% of the "massively important this must be done now" ideas that are handed to me by my wife come from that site.

Well....was booked in today.

The guy rang the home phone Tuesday (no one in) leaving a message to ask whether he could fgit that day. He then emailed me to which I replied, sorry no can do no one home.
Today comes, and I get a phonecall at 8.30 from "the office" saying his daughter is not well, sorry about that, someone will call to rearrange.

Can't decide if I should give benefit of doubt or cancel based on not being up front.
