I've been looking to do this. My AV receiver died recently so bought a Yamaha AV3030 which is bit of a monster. As it doesn't fit on the shelf where the old one was and I can't find a nice but deep enough cabinet, I thought utilising under the stairs would be the best option.

I'm going to install (well, a mate of mine is a home theatre / automation business owner and is going to help out) an AV rack under the stairs so all the tech stuff is hidden. I'm also planning on having two dog crates built in but getting it to look nice is a tall order!! If I ever finish this project off i'll post pics!

Have you had these fitted yet Worsy?
Well....was booked in today.

The guy rang the home phone Tuesday (no one in) leaving a message to ask whether he could fit that day. He then emailed me to which I replied, sorry no can do no one home.
Today comes, and I get a phonecall at 8.30 from "the office" saying his daughter is not well, sorry about that, someone will call to rearrange.

Can't decide if I should give benefit of doubt or cancel based on not being up front.
So no communication to rearrange date I decided to cancel. Emailed and called several times before I managed to finally get a refund promised today. Disappointed it didn't work out but wanted confidence in the company/fitting and this didn't help. Will revisit at some point I'm sure, hopefully when someone else gets a successful install.

Her brother has one in his place, it does looks seriously snazzy and the draws come all the way out so you get 100% of the space.
