Light install problem - Any ideas?

Hi there,

I'm a bit confused. I put a light up today and it was flickering. It was a fancy light but I was pretty positive I wired up the Live and Neutral correctly (why do the supply lights where the L and N are the same friken colour? in this case clear?).

Any way the light after being wired up just flickers.

Surely, if it was wired up wrong it wouldn't come on at all, or worse short the circuit?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

It does not matter which way round you have the live and neutral.

If flickering, most likely a loose connection.
