Exteririor stairs and balcony project
Discussion
Hello!
I purchased a property in harrogate 18 months ago and i am looking for some advice on a potential building project that we are looking at having done.
The house is over 200 years old and is a "non standard" configuration having the living areas on the 1st floor and bedrooms on the ground
This is the view from the rear courtyard. The first floor windows have a Juliet balcony constructed of glass.
What we are looking at having done is having a small balcony (80 - 90cm deep) giving access to the garden / courtyard via a staircase. Not sure how best this would work hung vs propped
The style of the staircase we think that will work best is a "center stringer" up the right hand wall. Although we don't own this property
We are looking for advise on if this is possible, estimated costs etc prior to approaching people. Also if there is anyone in the North / Yorkshire area who can do this work then please be in touch.
