I was about to start a thread on exactly the same topic. Mine is a Danesmoor 26/32 displaying similar problems. It won't come on. Is the timer in the morning. I reset the amber light and it fires, runs for 10 minutes or so then stops until I press the reset button again.
Running for 10-20 minutes points towards the solenoid on the oil pump. They work ok when cold, but fail when it warms up. £20-£30 for the part and takes seconds to fit.
Fitted a new solenoid this afternoon and all is well again. Thanks for your help smile

Whoops, just undid the 4 Allen bolts on what I thought was the transformer, gave it a sharp pull, and oil came gushing out!

Now have a puddle of oil on the garage floor frown

Hang on, since my accident with the oil,

The clear oil tube is now empty?

Could it be a pipe work issue/ blocked pipe.

There is a bleed valve next to the boiler, I just opened it and nothing happened?

I have a firebird oil boiler which intermittently goes into lockout. When I press reset I can hear whether the fan kicks in and after a lockout it may take 4-5 attempts before the fan will start and then the boiler lights. I cannot find what makes the difference on whether the fan starts or not. Sometimes it runs fine for a day, sometimes a hour or so. This can happen when the boiler is hot or cold so it is not to do with the thermostat. I have also checked the oil line which is fine. This only started 2 days ago, it has been fine before. Any ideas on what may be causing the intermittent fan? Thanks
