Its a 2KW in a HIGH ceiling barn conversion room...

Maybe the stove is too small, 2KW will feel hot when you get close enough but might not have the output to heat a larger space.

I think it's in a room in a barn conversion Simpo, rather than in the main barn bit.

Paddy - have you measured temps in the high point? If they're significantly higher than at ground level then a ceiling fan running in reverse might work well for you.
