AW10 Towers currently has an electric double oven, each with its own breaker in the CU (don't recall if they're 16A or 32A), 45A wall switch in the kitchen and then a connection unit behind the oven. She who most occasionally be consulted would like a new single oven and warming drawer. The single oven is easy enough to connect to one of the old oven feeds but is it OK to connect the warming drawer to the other feed? I think it's rated at about 7 amps and comes with a standard 13A fused plug. I could either lop off the plug and wire it to the connection unit or connect a short length of flex and a trailing socket to the connection unit.

Or add a wall socket for the plug?

Looks OK in principle as a warming drawer isn't going to demand as much power as an oven (BUT I'm not an electrician so get a second opinion)

Hi,

Is the cnnection unit fused or just literally a connection plate?

Either way swap it for a fused unit, then stick the fuse from your warmer cupboard plug into the spur.

Job done and safe.
