Hi, have 3x engineered wood on suspended floor zones which are running a temp setup which I need to complete with a proper zoned manifold, is it worth installing a 1 zone bigger manifold for the future proposed extension which will probably be concrete/tiles or would that require/benefit from a different flow temp?

Also am I correct in thinking wet systems with blending valve don't require floor limit probes like electric systems do.

And finally, where's a good place to buy all this, looking at the heatmiser setback dial stats for zone control

It's a good idea to get a manifold that can cope with the future extension, it won't cost much more and will have the same flow temperature.

As for in floor temperature sensors then yes they are recommended. In particular if your floor is glued down, the failure temperature of the glued is quite low at around 28 degrees so you don't want the slab to go much beyond 25 degrees, in truth it shouldn't need to go that high anyway.

Our manifold has a cutout stat probe fitted - if the water temp to the ufh pipes exceeds a safe preset limit it cuts the pump out until the water's cooled down.

I would also look at putting in the newest room thermostats. Danfoss now do one with IR sensors directed at the floor for more accurate temp settings.
