I've been told the is the best stuff for sealing a boat hatch (the factory use Arborsil 1096 but not in the right cartridges). It's not a DIY product; I can get it mail order by next Tuesday but was hoping to get started at the weekend. Anyone got any ideas where I might find a tube of it in black please? It needs to be flexible and 100% weather/watertight - rain on my walnut table is not an option!

Just had at a look at it on their website, it only seems to be a neutral cure silicone, nothing special about it. This is the same stuff used for the same type of applications and Dow Corning is a well respected brand Neutral cure silicone More info Dow 791

That's good news - I'd been doing some other research and that was pointing to 791 as well, so thanks very much for the corroboration. And better still, Screwfix sell it!

What about Sikaflex?
It's usually black and readily avilable

We use this for industrial roof sheets. It's bulletproof, if your hatch is not going to have exposed mastic, I would use this.
