Hey folks

Looking at a few options on these

(1) http://www.thegardenoffice.co.uk
(2) http://www.boothsgardenstudios.co.uk
(3) http://www.edengardenrooms.co.uk/eden/
(4) Custom job from local supplier : http://www.mozmurray.co.uk/product-range/garden-ro...

Most are SIPS type construct and fully inclusive builds for either 5m x 3.2 / 5m x 4m - seems to be coming in around £19k to £27k

Seems a lot for what they are but looking for this just to be done and single sourced, timed in with a lot of hard landscaping we're doing at same time. Job will be in Edinburgh - any PH'er's had this done or got a firm that does these smile

I would love one of those, complete with woodburning stove, or even one of these;

Sadly my current garden is only about 10mx7m frown

I've been looking at these on and off for the past few months and still can't decide whether to just bite the bullet and pay someone the firms to rock up and install it in a couple of days or try to cobble something together myself.

Option 1 - had a chap from 'the garden office' round, all looked well thought out, decent materials, easy to book a defined delivery slot etc. - was looking around 4m x 3m and £13k fully finished and ready to go.

Option 2 - get a ready cut SIPS kit off eBay, around £3k, then get timbers for the frame, find roofing materials, cladding, doors, windows, interior finish, electrical items etc. In all it would come to significantly less than £13k, but when factoring in the time spent sourcing materials/building it and general buggering about I suspect the difference wouldn't be too great.

Option 3 - build a timber frame from scratch, infill with Kingspan and clad, finish interior etc. Much cheaper but much more work.

The more I think about it, the better value Option 1 sounds, especially in your situation OP where it has to fit around other works.

My brother decided to design and build his own Garden Office. He got the measurements wrong and it ended up completely squint, had to be knocked down and rebuilt. He's an Architect to trade laugh

Thanks for the thoughts here smile Looks like we are deciding between Garden Office and Boothstudio's - liking very much the latter

I've got a Booths Garden Studio. Had it fitted 4 years ago.

It gets used all year round. Insulation is very good, better than my house.

Been very happy with it.

If you've got any specific questions just drop me a PM .
