Thanks for the ideas chaps. Ripping it out on the 2nd with the plan currently to replace as is but with more space saving basin/loo.
Still not sure about rad positioning but likely next to basin as long as it doesn't stick out too far, or next to the loo - not so keen on this though :S

Have you considered under floor heating + a small towel heater instead of a large radiator?
With the space saving basin, don't go to small or if you have to then lower tap pressure. Otherwise you will always be mopping the resulting wet floor.
And don't skimp on the extractor, get one which mounts in the loft if you can- more powerful and minimal noise as its out of the room.
