A bit of an odd request but I figure if anyone if going to be able to help me find this it will be PH.

Short Version:
My dad built me a red/yellow wooden go-kart from a woodwork book that he had, I seem to remember it was a blue book but could be wrong. It contained a variety of wooden toys and how to build them. Can you help me find it?

Long Version:
My Dad has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and by the doctors estimates only has about a month left.

It's not been an ideal relationship as my parents split up about 19 years ago and I've not seen him for about the last 15 years but I would really like to make a gesture and show him I have some great childhood memories by building him (or, getting someone to build) a scale model of this kart he built me when I was little, even had a personalised numberplate!

If anyone could help me find this book that contained it I would appreciate it so much.

The kart was painted mainly yellow but with red around the edge parts, it had a cylinder shaped front with wooden slats and was steered by rope attached to the front axel holder.

Again, I'd be so grateful if someone had this book on a shelf or could help point me in some kind of direction to finding it.

I've just had a look on ebay: type in 'wooden toy books' and select search in books. There are quite a few results, you might recognize something. There is a Haynes wooden toy manual with a go kart on the front though it may be too modern. Good luck in your search.

Oh my, Thank you so much. Two of these books by Blizzard look very familiar.

Do they contain full size toy's though? I seem to recall the one you linked to containing scale models. This go-kart was a full size toy.

I've ordered both of those books as they look too familiar for it to be coincidence. Hopefully they hold the answer!

An of course, a pint to you guys for being so helpful so quickly!
