They look nice, are they reconstituted or real stone?
Real slate. I have the tile version in my kitchen, dining room and morning room at the house. From Prices Paving in North Yorkshire.

Blimey, that's coming along nicely now clap

I'm undecided on the flagstones though. Regular in one direction, irregular in the other. It both pleases and displeases my inner OCD silly

Was there really any need to quote all the photos when you are posting directly under it?

Garage looks fantastic. You're a lucky lad!

well said. That phrase always underplays how hard people work and the risks and sacrifices they make to get where they are.

I'm not having a go at the chap who said it a couple of posts above, more a commentary on how there isn't a better affirmative compliment.

I think luck can play a part from time to time.

I have a couple of friends who sold their tech companies and portion a large part of the outcome down to just that.
Right place, right time and all that smile

There is the small matter of them having built the tech company to sell in the first place!

Quite. Although I was referring more to the sale itself.

There is no such thing as luck. Loads of people are in the right place at the right time and watch the opportunity sail on by due to lethargy, apathy, fear and lack of, I won't say confidence, let's say a lack of 'fk it'.

There is hard graft, taking risks, making hard decisions, seeing things through, not settling for anything less than 100% and just plain old tenacity.

Doesn't matter if it's business, driving, marriage, kids, health - you absolutely only get out results proportionate to what you put in.

But I know the luck post wasn't literal. :-)

Back on topic, couple of quick iPhone pics.

Plasterers started today.

new shed to replace the old wooden one has started. Bigger so I don't have to store any crap in the garages. 4m x 2.5m although it doesn't look it in this pic.
