This truly is a magnificent garage. I've been following the thread since the start. Very speedy work, and a great result.

The most important room in the house !

Don't be. IME, the more you acquire the more responsibility and heartache comes with looking after it all.

Happiest I've ever been in life was when I earned a third of what I do now and had a house less than a third the size, a couple of ratty cars and a couple of nice but cheap motorbikes.

Life was completely carefree compared to 15 years on!

So enjoy la relatively simple existence while you can, odds are it'll get more complex in the future!

OP ace garage build.

Don't be sad, at least you have a garage!

I only have a brick drive which I cannot even jack up on!

Fair play.

I do wish someone would explain that a garage is a place for cars and drink though and not somewhere to store all manner of unrelated crap from the house.

Garage doors on. Hardware fitting to them tomorrow and adjusting.

Rear drive for the trailer. Path now hardcore ready for whacking and gravel.

Sky wired in

Ditch dug and soiled ready for beech hedging (to match the existing hedge on the garden)

5 seater Jacuzzi wired up and ready to go (335 model)

Solid oak garage doors

Tiles done with metal chrome trim. 1 tile up the wall so exhaust spray can be wiped off. First coat of paint too.

Oak frame fitted on loft hatch and you can see the oak door stood against the boxes below waiting to be fitted.

Shower

Basin and spot for the loo at opposite end of the room from the shower. Towel shelving to go above the loo.

Gym tiles in now.

Jacuzzi from inside the gym through the oak bi folding doors

Trench dug for electric feed and sewerage connection. The LPG tank is under that green tub to the left so Bob (the builder - seriously) was very cautious using the digger!

That is amazing mate, really love the look of the garage!

I know Craig who works for you, I said to him I'm slighty in love with your car collection and garage, maybe one day!

Ayup. I owe Craig a ride in the Gt3RS, had to rush off yesterday and didn't have chance.

Ive bored the poor fella silly over the last 2 years with garage ideas and debates on what cars to buy!

Ha ha, I'm sure he won't have been bored - knowing Craig, he would do the exact same to you!

Just give me a ride in the Gt3RS instead of him, he won't mind smile

Those tiles look amazing! Where they much more expensive than a polished concrete or epoxy floor alternative?

They're filthy at the moment. Porcelain tiles with a granite layer on top. £23sqm. No idea how much the other floor types you mention would have been.

It looks like an excellent job, you must be very pleased. ( slightly unusual to not be bhing about the builder, but then we aren't all bad! )

£23 /m2 is very reasonable for polished porcelain.

Builders have been superb. Croft Builders of Green Hammerton, York. The oak has been supplied by Main Kitchens also of Green Hammerton.

Main and Croft did my bespoke oak kitchen, laundry, master bedroom (including a one off oak super king bed with a hidden tv thingy) and study as well as laying the underfloor heating and tiled floors at the house. Croft also gutted and re fitted my main garage all previously to this job so I knew them and their work before hand.

To be honest, now you mention it, every person and supplier involved has been spot on.

Only person missing was Michael the plasterer from Croft Builders who managed to total one of their vans on the way to a job in France before the plastering was due to be done and is on crutches. Shame because he's a petrolhead although it hasn't put him off as I went up to Green Hammerton a couple of weeks back in the 458 Spider and took him for a blast to cheer him up and he was encouraging me to go faster!
