New Garage Build
Discussion
Random thought.
If I understand things correctly, the new driveway runs behind the exising garage?
Is it worth getting a roller door fitted to the rear of one of the existing garage bays so you can swap cars around between the two, without having to go out into the main road and back in again?

Crikey no. Massive amount of work for no gain mate. The "Main road" is a lane through the hamlet (there are less than 20 houses here) that barely gets any traffic and adding the door at the back would only give access from one bay. I'll never have the need to swap a car around anyway. My usual daily drivers will be up at the house and I'm leaving a bay spare so when I pick one of the other cars to use for a few days I can use it in and out of there, then when I'm done clean it and put it back int he new one.If I understand things correctly, the new driveway runs behind the exising garage?

Looks proper! What ductless air/heater system is that? Looking for one myself and the wifi control sounds appealing!

I'd recommend at least one lighting circuit on PIR. That way, you can walk in and not have to fumble for light switches. Also, when you drive off at night, you don't need to get out the car tot urn out the lights.
All the outside lights are (both garages, garden and decking). Plus lamps in both garages on remote control so when I'm reversing in at night, click and they come on.Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
