Try again. Set for anyone to view but can only be embedded on PH which I should've done in the first place.

Love the badge "shields" on the walls, are they custom made?

From these guys.. http://www.lifesize-models.co.uk.

This is on the video but for ease some of the other suppliers were:

Home Leisure Direct - Pool table
Ultimate Arcade - Arcade machine
ChairsGB - Custom diner seating
Glass at Work - Glass wall and door
Tim Layzell - Artists that painted the pictures in the new garage
Klaus Wagger - Artists that painted the pictures in the games room (not the big canvas one which I got at the Revival from the (German) artist himself on his stand and can't remember his name nor read his signature.
Powerhouse Fitness - Gym gear
Main Furniture, Green Hammerton, York - anything oak
Croft Builders, Green Hammerton, York - builders
Outdoor Living (Hull and Leeds) - Jacuzzi

Car dealers I have dealt with and recommend are Lee at John Holland Cars, Bernie at Cars of Extinction, 911Sport and Forest Vintage cars (who are associated with Dr Heinz Cars of New Zealand where my Model A came from).

Its tricky isn't it. On the one hand PH is all about us all sharing our passion. Its one of the few places you can say "Look at my cars/garage" without eliciting the response of "showing off what an arse" or "Zzzzzzzzz" (second one is my wife typically). On the other hand there are days I regret starting the thread. Then I want to share again and think ahh sod it.
I amongst many others am very very glad you started this thread mate, I've dreamt of a garage set up like yours for as long as I can remember and the fact that real car enthusiasts are around indulging in their passion and sharing what they can be it pictures videos for the rest of us to enjoy is a brilliant thing

fk the haters from other sites, jealousy is a cruel mistress

Love the garage but that picture you've got of the Jaguar D-Type chasing the Aston gets me ever time with the size of the mouth on the DB3S wink

Nice build and video. Any plans to do a video series where you talk about the cars, why you bought each one etc? Would be interesting to see a Harry's Garage style series.

Funnily enough I've recently retired and doing that was on my list. I thought I would do mine to get going and then start inviting other owners to cover their cars.

I like the Petrolicious videos too.

Get it sorted. Can't wait to see some fellow Yorkshire folk and petrolheads talking about their cars.

45. Sold my software company.

Ill get bored before long. If I do whatever I get into will be related to one of my interests rather than boring business.

My dream would be to open a car museum outside York with facilities to host outdoor, covered car meets. Massive undertaking though. Still, you've gotta dream eh.

Well I was sufficiently inspired to repaint my garage floor, wife thought 3 coats was excessive and then I showed her your place; needless to say she was impressed and decided her SLK getting wet for 3 days wasn't such a big deal after all.

Wow, congrats pal!

If I can get to 45 and look at retiring, I would love to! Car museum would be fantastic idea, if you've done your dreams already - I cannot see you struggling to pull that one off!

Are you fully retired from the company then?

Completely. My days consist of waking up when I wake up, gym, breakfast, bit of clickety click on investment management, choosing a car, choosing a destination and err, not a lot else.

I've a pact with my ex business partner we won't do anything until Spring but there are opportunities everywhere I look and no one taking them. I'm not good with relaxing.

Sounds perfect life to me mate! You fancy starting something else next year?

I currently run my own IT business, who knows what might happen in 10 years - one thing I do know, is I will be building a garage when we get our new house so I'll give you a shout if you don't mind.

If anyone wanted to nick anything they would have to be pretty keen given the security Ive put in and my location. Pretty much impossible short of a confrontation with me and I don't think I own anything desirable enough to warrant that. As my insurers said, "We have clients with collections of extremely high value with much less security than you've implemented living in areas with much higher crime rates Sir. Thats why your premium is so low". This surprised me as, as a Yorkshireman, I thought my premium was bloody massive.

Video is back up as I'm having an "Ahh sod it moment". This work? https://vimeo.com/136318386
Hi Leg,

Bad news about the trouble on first uploading, I'm pleased you have it live again.

Well what more can i say, the video is amazing, and been following the build for many months, and what a result. A dream come true, and i really wish i had the space, and money to create such a garage.

Stunning car collection also, the 595 Abarth really looks amazing through the Glass wall. There really is no element of a dream garage missing, its man heaven! gadgets arcades, pool, Gym, model cars, amazing metal, artwork, its got the lot.

Really well done you must be so pleased. And from reading on you also have the time to really enjoy it now your retired! happy days :-)

P.S wasn't being nosey -but after the video ended there were two other videos of the Yellow Mk1 Escort on the Dyno.....was that Dave Bogg who stepped out of your car?

Once again top project, video and thread.

Yes I'm really pleased he's still going, he is a wizard on Carbs, and a nice guy, he once did some tune work on a Toyota Corolla GTI i had back in the day, always remember the Dyno and him tinkering between each run. They do some excellent Bike Carb Manifolds and they used to Run a hillclimb Rally spec nova his son Steve was a really balls out driver not sure if they still compete though.

What did your Escort make on his Dyno? did he set it up for you?
