Yes I'm really pleased he's still going, he is a wizard on Carbs, and a nice guy, he once did some tune work on a Toyota Corolla GTI i had back in the day, always remember the Dyno and him tinkering between each run. They do some excellent Bike Carb Manifolds and they used to Run a hillclimb Rally spec nova his son Steve was a really balls out driver not sure if they still compete though.

What did your Escort make on his Dyno? did he set it up for you?

Andy
I think one of his sons died, if memory serves, and it may not, during a motorsport event?

It made 170 at the wheels. Plenty for road use. It's as sweet as, err, a really sweet thing sprinkled in sugar now.

Read from the beginning smile
Top work!
I'm only in N Yorks, too, but mine is slightly less impressive.
I'll get there though.

Retrospective planning for the Air Conditioning/Heaters was approved today.

Also, signed up for the GRDC this week. G40R arrives Monday, Snetterton Tuesday testing with the guys from Ginetta, ARDS 24th. Slightly excited.

Major bonus is that the factory is 20 minutes away from me and their new test circuit is 5 minutes away. Epic.

Blew a small fortune at Demon Tweaks yesterday. Couldn't resist a carbon helmet. :-)

1 space left in the garage.....maybe 2 as I may sell the track car assuming racing goes well and evolves.

Nothing really, they're 'see what comes along'. My lads are 15 and 17 though so I might get a Clio 172 or similar track prepped for them so they can learn to drive properly. Eldest is just about to do his theory.

I've loved every update you've made to this thread @_Leg_ , it's been a pleasure to read and quite inspirational.
I've been building, tweaking, adding to my own garage build for about 5 years on and off and you inspired me to get my finger out of my a- and get on with finishing it. On a much much smaller scale obviously, but my little place of sanctuary from the madness or the girls.
Still a bit of work to do but getting there and in between cars at the minute (just sold one and one in order) so time to get it finally finished.

Awesome awesome garage, cars, build and thread - big thumbs up from me 👍🏻

I bet your sons absolutely love the new garage! It won't be long before they're asking why they can't park their cars in there! haha

They're completely uninterested in cars, although they like the games room.

I bought the eldest a nice vx Adam for his 17th, I would have been proper excited, he was grateful but hardly excited.

Kids eh.

My son is 17 in November and is not bothered about learning to drive at all, much more concerned about computer games!

Wow, I've just seen this for th first time. What a garage, the level of detail in everything is great.

I'm not far from York so will await the opening of your car museum soon wink

Computers dont really come into it. Youngest is football mad and the eldest is into his Scuba. I sat the youngest (15) in my G40 with helmet on the other day and asked him if he fancied the Ginetta Juniors and he said "No, haven't got time cos of school and footy". I, am, alone.

Thanks, I'm reassured I'd take any of those 3 to be fair, as long as it's a proper activity not a virtual one I'm happy!
