Oooh the temptation to say, 'I walk in the garage, turn left and there it is'. ;-)

It's superb. Quite a few mods done now including 3 way adjustable suspension. Did a Euro trip to the Alps and Dolomites with the NYLOC guys last year and a few trackdays. Car was excellent. Got a few track days booked including European ones this year.

Me and 3 other guys have built two C1 race cars and entered the C1 Club's Endurance series too. Should be a laugh. 35+ car grids in 3, 4 and 24 hour races. Spa should be hilarious. Can't wait to get my, 'I've done Eau Rouge flat' T shirt. Of course, I'll have to do it flat or the C1 won't make it up the hill!! Ha.

Just organising road trips too. Two 'lads' ones to sort and one to Italy in the F12 with the Mrs. Pick her up from Milan, west coast, Pompeii, east coast to Venice for her to fly back with 4 days either side on my own so I can get some mountain passes in I think.

Austria for one of the lads trips. Superb roads there. Maybe the Pyrenees for the other one. Sneak down on the 23 hour ferry to Santander/Bilbao.

To paraphrase Steve McQueen, 'Life is cars, everything else is just waiting'. ;-)

Definitely my preference for Southern France. Benefit of living darn Sarf. Single overnight with a bar and you can be in the Pyrenees within a few hours. Still, we have Scotland on our doorstep and the Southerners have the M25 tongue out

I'm in the sticks outside York so usually go Hull - Rotterdam. The ferry is worth it for the ste live entertainment alone. Hilarious.

Then we nail Stuttgart (Porsche/Mercedes museums) or Munich (cracking night out), have a late morning the next day then into Switzerland or Austria and away we go. The Santander ferry is perfect for the Pyrenees though.

Aye, done the Hull ferry a few times, both walk on and with the car. I love it tbh, great thing to have up here for Spa, North Germany, the Nordic countries etc.

Always a pleasure coming back home after a fantastic trip to be welcomed with a sight of Hull prison and the A63 backed up with traffic laugh
I do wonder what visitors must think coming here. Capital of Culture, cameras at the ready laugh

The exact topic of conversation on the radios as we drive off the ferry plus 'Why on Earth do the Europeans come to the UK' and 'oh my God, 70 on the M62 is sooooo slow' as the day before we were on derestricted autobahns rarely falling below 100.

Sold the Speciale after Ferrari made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Sat pondering what I fancy now. Never drove it so it wasn't hard to let it go.

Can't believe you sold the Speciale! I guess I can kind of see why though, I asked you about owning that and the 458 Spider some time back and since then got a 458 Spider too. It's easier to drive the Spider (for me anyway, less worry, top down in summer) and it provides 9/10ths of the experience.

Are you going to look for more of the same or mix it up a bit?

Nothing new appeals to me.

Not sure I can be bothered with another classic.

The cash might sit in the bank until me and the Mrs get chance to go on a world tour in one of these. It’s my youngest lad’s 18th today and the other one is 21 soon. Reckon we might feck off in 2020 as I’ll be 50 then.

People tour for years in them going to remote parts of the world.

Plenty of video diaries on YouTube under ‘expidition trucks’.

I’ve been fancying an extended trip (1, 2 maybe 3 year trip) for years but family responsibilities (parents and kids) have blocked it. Not for much longer although my wife isn’t completely on board yet.

well don't sell it as a 3 year commitment, make out it's a 2 month tour of europe and just keep extending. I'd find a way of strapping a couple of scooters onto the back to get into towns.
