Just looking for some vertical radiators, anyone know of any decent retailers/suppliers ?

Essex area if possible as I would like to look before purchase.

You can't look before you buy - but we had exemplary service...
We needed a vertical rad that was <270mm and these were the only suppliers we could find. Very happy with what we got.

I have 2 in the hallway by Revive, in their 2000cm tall x 490cm wide size. They look brilliant and are beautifully made.

Mine are against stripped Victorian brick walls - possibly a bit stark for normal painted walls, but they do a pretty nice aluminium grey colour as well as black and white.

About £200 each from Mr Central Heating.

Great site. Not seen them before, despite looking for this sort of stuff. Just found wifey the long towel warmer we had been looking for, and couldn't find similar elsewhere;

Cannot help with local shop, although just added 3 of these to an extension of a house we're developing.

Had a few off them in past year, next day, no issues, 10 year warranty.

Brilliant, thanks for all the links, loads to look at which isn't ideal for SWMBO as it will take forever to get that perfect rad !!!

Cheers.

We've just ordered from these guys too, through our builder.

Due to be installed next week. Will let you know how it goes.

Bath Empire recommendation here.

Had x2 vertical rads delivered from them for a great price and they put out a good 7.5 BTUs each.

Unfortunately both took some damage from the courier throwing them down onto the path at the side of the house. It wasn't much with a few scuffs to the tops of both (broke through the corner protectors), they dealt with us quick, sent 2 new ones out and said we could dispose of the 2 damaged ones as we saw fit.

A little touch up paint and they'll do just fine biggrin

I used Joe at www.specializedradiators.co.uk/

It's worth going over for a visit, his Linished ones look like works of art.

Just to follow up on this.

We have four installed.

One in the lounge and one in each of the first floor bedrooms.

The thermostatic valves seem poor or the valve on the radiator is poor. We have a large radiator in our bedroom, and even with the valve fully open, the radiator is cold. I have to completely remove it to encourage the heat to come through.

The other radiators are great, and they do look really nice.

I've just ordered two 1780 x 420 rads, got a great deal so will be interesting to see what the quality is like.

They look great Harry - I'm putting the same on my stairs (once building works starts/finishes)

I have the same in the bedroom (in the same finish)
