Dismantle a concrete panel garage on own?

Be very careful when pulling it apart as the panels are very very heavy, when my dad and I modified our garage years ago I accidentally dropped a panel on his foot, the same foot he's broken two toes on 6 months previously. Luckily for me he couldn't move or speak with the pain but suffice to say the toes were broken again.

I think it took me a day and a half to knock my single sectional garage down by myself. But as it was being replaced with a new garage, I didn't have to be very careful. I did take my time and strip the new roof off so I could sell it on, but the rest came down with a big sledge hammer once I'd taken as many of the bolts out as would come out easily. If you're binning it, it's easier done in small bits, so the sledge comes in handy for that too. Quite a lot of mine ended up under the garage floor slab instead of binning it after I spent a hour or three bashing the panels up into little bits.

Argh, my backs killing me. I spent 8hrs emptying the garage, and then ripping plasterboard from the interior and the roof, and removing a stud partition wall. Didnt expect it to take that long! Its now a shell ready to unbolt.

I'm not planning on doing it myself. I'm holding out for an ebay/gumtree sale. Sold it on ebay 8am this morning, and I emailed the buyer instantly to ask when they're collecting. No reply. Emailed again this evening. No reply. Tw@ts. My advert stated that I wanted someone to do it this weekend. I would cancel the sale as someone from gumtree wanted it, but dont want the negative feedback.

Dismantled a sectional concrete single garage on my own a couple of years ago. The phrase 'coming down like a pack of cards' comes to mind. Think through the deconstruction sequence carefully to maintain the stability of the structure. The wall panels should be propped before you remove the roof members. Work sequentially along the length of the garage to avoid lengths of free-standing wall panels and be very careful with the last panels which will be the least stable/ predictable.

Update: Well I managed it this weekend. Spend a good 7hrs solid, removing the roof on saturday. I really wasnt expecting it to be so solid and difficult to do. Then today a mate came around and we unbolted the panels and dismantled the garage. That bit was suprisingly easy, and we did the lot in 2h45m. Quite pleased. Now just hoping for someone to buy/take the garage panels, but at least theres no rush as the site is now clear for the builders to start work.
