double glazing quote

Appreciate any advice on recommendations of companies in Dorset ( Purbeck area ) to fit a single replacement aluminium double glazed window , ideally UPVC in white , old frame size 8' by 4' 6" ( Downstairs so no scaffolding required ) and at what cost

would also be helpful to get an idea of any suppliers could supply window for DIY fit

I've moved away now, but I always went to Polar Glaze on Holton Heath. They supplied me with a few windows and doors over the years.

I think Polar Glaze went bust. Connaught Windows on Wallisdown Road do supply only. Quality windows Deceuninck profiles. I've just started using Wareham Windows for fitted stuff, mainly Smart aluminium, but they do UPVC too. The fabricate onsite, and their quality is excellent.

I have no commercial connection to either company, I just buy quite a few windows.

ETA, you can do a rough online quote on Slide & Fold's website. Single window fitting, including all trims, disposal of old window would be £150-£200 range.

Ive just had aluminium bifold doors installed and after experiencing various problems I can offer the following advice...

Check that the supplier is CE approved, and that they can and will supply you with a Declaration of Performance, which is a legal requirement. Also check that they are Certass registered, as it is Certass who will then guarantee your windows for 10 years should the supplier go bust. Which they will.
