I have a simple 1 gang plain white light switch in the garage stuck away in the corner.
I want to control it from near the door so am looking at remote switches.
Rerouting cable is not an option frown

Any ideas for a simple one.
Does not need to dim, single channel with a manual switch on the faceplate as well.
No fancy/expensive stuff as it's in the workshop.

Needs to replace single gang switch.
It appears to have a neutral feed at the switch as well as the switched live, so I can get power there.

Recommendations links please? Thanks

If you've got a neutral at the switch then I'd recommend changing the light switch for one of these: http://www.tech4homes.co.uk/home-automation/lightw... and then use a wireless switch like so http://www.tech4homes.co.uk/home-automation/lightw...

Good idea. Slightly cheaper option would be to get a LightwaveRF single gang light switch and a remote control.

The light switch dims though so if the connected light isn't dimmable you will have problems hence using the relay and wireless switch combo.

I went for one of these in the end as it is controlling fluorescent lights.

Got to be worth a punt at less than a tenner even if it takes several weeks to get here.

Is the switch 3 plate? It looks like you need a neutral for that switch you have ordered.
