I have had a similar problem since constructing a pergola with wooden beams. The local collard doves seem to think it is a toilet ( I had no idea they had such large bowels). I tried a two pronged attack by hanging a few CDs underneath so they rotate and catch the light and also a thin wire running about 3 inches above the beam - held in place by a couple of long screw nails at each end.
Combination of movement of CDs and not seeing the wire and being startled by it if they do attempt a landing, has made a huge difference to the dumpage on the terrace & furniture below.

I believe in America they've come up with the idea of roasting birds mid flight using a giant solar mirror array, as well as toasting any birds straying near it has the side benefit of producing a small amount of power.
OP have you considered constructing a large refracting mirror array to immolate the offending avians?

Instead of being aggressive, why not try and get to know the birds. Speak to them, sit down & share a cuppa and try and put your concerns across in a reasoned, calm manner.
You might find they are quite receptive to your issue and are willing to take action to rectify without the need for violence.
