If the floor is dusting you need to remove the dust. then use a surface hardener. Something like this:http://www.stickyproducts.co.uk/sika-dustproofer-9911-p.asp

Had the same thing last summer when we moved into a new build, this: http://www.ronseal.co.uk/home/floors/one-coat-conc... rolled onto the floor solved the problem. I park a car in there, hasn't lifted etc.. We did seem to use about double the amount the tin said but it worked so I'm not bothered!

Thanks !
Do I need to leave the concrete for a set period prior to sealing it ?
The floor can only be 2mths old at best.

I think you will hire any mason.

That's probably about what ours was, we had the summer weather on our side but haven't seen any issues with it - it's not lifted etc..

I used Screwfix floor paint on mine. It was really dusty before, but excellent after, so much easier to sweep and keep clean.

I thinned the paint quite a lot so it would really soak into the 'pores' of the concrete, and I put two such coats on.
