Our neighbours are generaly quite noisy.

Now I know a detached would have been nice, but we couldnt afford.

They have loud voices, I sometimes think. I could listen to every word of their conversations.
None of the 3 living there can close the front door without slamming it, so it just about shakes the house.

What sort of sound insulating material can I fix to my lounge and bedroom party wall, to help deaden the incomming noise ?

We have a similar issue - not so much the voices but each and every time a door is closed next door it is slammed! Their front door doesn't align properly as a result of the repeated slamming and now when slammed shut our raditor and front window notciably rattle! I am getting to the point where i am going to mention it to them, however some people are just born heavy handed so i doubt any words from me are going to change that.

Interesting to find out if anyone has any solutions like OP.

Fire.

You have to fit it on their side of the wall though.

I had a similar problem with a buy to let, the tenants complaind of the same thing from next door,I went and saw the neighbour explained the problem, blamed "shoddy modern house builders" not them and offered to fit damped door hinges to his front door and inner porch door, wasn't massive money

The funny thing is, our 4 year old semi is amazing in terms of noise insulation - our neighbours are young like us and have two young kids - very rarely can you hear a thing. In contrast, my now wife's previous flat which was over 60 years old was shocking.

I have the same issue. They seem to do nothing all day when not at work.

From the sounds they get up at 4am and ride each other up and door the stairs for an hour.

mine are noisey sometimes, will argue but only when a full moon, teenage girl will also play soppy music, but only after slamming the door of whatever boyfriend she is seeings hatchback

based on that i let it slide, however if you do approach the neigbours rememember you only have one stab at not upsetting them, whether you (they) care or not is anyones guess
