Oh why is finding a good, reliable tradesman so difficult!!

I had arranged for a guy to come over this evening to take a look at and quote to replace my ensuite bathroom but I have just had a text from him to say he is now going away over the weekend so it will need to be next week.. I know this probably isnt a big deal but I don't really feel inclined to use someone that can't even keep an appointment to look at the job. Someone from another company has emailed me back saying he will call me before the weekend, so far nothing..

So, does anyone on here know, has used and can reccomend a good bathroom fitter/plumber in the North Bristol area?

Sorry, I can't help other than to say good luck!

I was looking for someone in the same area for nearly 6 months.

The last chap I didn't even ask for a quote when I managed to get him round to look at what was needed. I just told him to start as soon as he could and bill me as he went, he still couldn't be bothered to turn up and do the work.

In the end I did it myself and saved a fortune!

You're not filling me with much confidence there Grumpy Old Git!! Thanks for the suggestion carreauchompeur, I'll ask the same question in ther also.

Generally has anyone had much success with sites like rated people or my builder etc, or inow how their reviewing system works and can the reviews easily be faked or manipulated?
