Garage circa 52msq, how much for a suspended ceiling to go straight onto the bottom of the roof trusses? Should be an easy enough job I would think, with only the door motors and a loft hatch to consider.

Any ideas chaps? It's East Mids by the way.

Is this project aimed at improving the insulation of the usable space?

As above, also interested in why you would want a suspended ceiling in a garage.

It's just to make it look smart, that is all. Currently it's all roof trusses and cables.

I have a large detatched double garage and having open space in the roof is great to store stuff on the trusses like long ladders, step ladders,Xmas decorations, garden tools and loads of other things.Does not look untidy and no crap in the house and my summer house in the garden can be used as such and not a storage shed.

Why a suspended ceiling and not just plasterboard with a finish?

I might go that way.

Hello,
While a suspended ceiling would capture falling roofing debris and dust during a re-roofing project, a construction wall barrier would further create a dust and debris containment area.
Thanks

Bugger, beat me to it.

Bear that in mind OP when you re-roof your new build.

Which is exactly what I did. Not a perfect plastering job, but it was a favour and after all I won't be laying on the floor looking up at it.

Looks way better now.
