Your first step is to see of you can get planning to increase ridge height.

Frame will cost circa 5k ish if you go for the same spec as mine.

Do a pre planning app, should give you fair indication. As long as you are not in a conservation area, you should stand a fair chance.

If you have a central wall, they can increase span and eave struts can move back.

Mine are 1 metre in from the inner wall, it's one of the reasons I went for a large dimension frame. I also have a central wall.

If you give the timber designers your dimensions, they will draw you up a plan showing what is possible. They did mine for free.

DWB in Latchingdon.

You need attic trusses.

Ok, I'm only in Bicknacre, give me a shout any weekend. Ask for Richard at DWB, he's a top bloke.

That it will, but don't forget the huge amount of storage you get in the eaves, makes it easier to run services etc as well.

Well after nearly a year of evenings and weekends, and some help from some good mates, I have a roof !

Bit of tidying the weekend, then off with the scaffold.

Top quality work there. I bet the neighbours will be pleased when the scaffolding comes down and they realise you aren't building the Empire State Building.
Probably, but someone 4 doors away has just put the same up to do theirs hehe
