Had some odd events at ours. We live in a wee estate which is across a river from a not too pleasant area. We've noticed things like doors being tried, side gate open etc in the past but over the weekend someone has been in to the back garden and by the looks of it, been sat smoking finished tabs from the ashtray by one of the back doors.
Now that itself is, whilst harmless, really quite unnerving.
We've thought about cameras but don't want a full on cctv system. Has anyone got any experience with any wifi cameras? My question really is whether there's anything out there that would do motion sensitive alerts?
Ideally I'd want one at back door & one at front door. Both of which could be covered through windows on either side of the office.
Also legally what would be required as to signs etc? As they wouldn't be pointing out on to the street at all.
I've popped a crap pic up of the house showing where the door is (X) & where the gate is.

I have two foscams - one a POE non wifi dome camera outside looking at the shed and back gate, and one a wifi Pan Tilt. Both work well and supposedly do alarms, although I've only tried the outside one and I've not got it working yet - but I've not tried very hard. Internets indicates alarm should work fine its probably just me being a div.

The Netgear Arlo system was mentioned here recently and has been on my "to do" Google list
It looks pretty good on paper:
- battery powered freestanding wifi cams weatherproofed for outside
- simple setup
- 100 quid for each cam approx in network (with base station)
- motion activated
- cloud storage
Im not 100% on resolution or night vision though
Anyone???
