We're looking at fitting a brick patio, using standard bricks, though rated at F2 (design choice, sorry if you've already tuned out). Although unorthodox, is there a way of doing this and preventing bricks from blowing in the frost. Can we use a sealant or similar that will reduce the brick's porousness?

Why not use dedicated clay brick pavers? That way you know they won't be affected by frost.

It's unorthodox for a reason! They will disintegrate over time. Can't you find a block paver that looks the same?

I had a feeling that'd be the answer. Is there any issue getting pavers cut down to a different dimension? Seems very difficult to get them in standard brick size.
