What can I say...excellent service and would deffo use them again!
Fridge/freezer decided to die on Friday evening, as it is near on impossible to just walk into a shop on a Saturday to purchase a new one and walk out with it I had to look online, Argos can deliver within 5 days and the earliest delivery date from Currys (from Friday eve) was Tuesday 7. AO.com however have no problem delivering on a Sunday and at no extra cost! had a text at 7.30 this morning with a 4 hour time slot between a certain time, the driver phoned me to let me know they were 20mins away and delivered on time with no problems.
Highly recommend them!

Have you had the phone call about appliance for life yet?
The bloke trying to sell it to me was so set on the hard sell that in the end I had to tell him if he didn't give up I was going to call my credit card and cancel the transaction.

Great service, but piss take on trying to force the extras. The fact they call you by your first name .... Just so they sound more like your friend is irritating.
Fridge ordered on thur, arrived fri.
Massive sales pitch - got irritating in the end. She also re-asked all of the questions that I'd already answered on the web about parking and taking old one away and all that. One of the reasons for online sales for me is not having to talk - i know what I want, don't want to spend all day yakking!

Big thumbs up here for AO as well.
Recently moved and had to purchase a fridge and a dishwasher. Delivered next day ordering at 3pm the previous day, given a 1 hour slow by phone on the day and delivered as promised.
Shortly afterwards old cooker and hob packed in, new ones again smooth delivery on day of choosing.
All done from the comfort of my home from the laptop.
As it should be
I hate going to shops and I hate people - I love that technology enables me to avoid both these things!

Bought a washer dryer from them about 5 weeks ago. Next day delivery and good prices.
As said though, the sales call after trying to flog insurance was way too much. They called to "check the delivery details" and spent about 10 minutes trying to flog insurance. Wouldn't respond to a polite no (or 5) so....
Delivery driver was great, but again spent most of his time trying to get me to call to give him a positive review.
For the sake of saving a tenner I'd go elsewhere next time!

There was a thread the other day that said their after-sales service if you have a problem is pretty poor.
They pretty much just transfer you to the manufacturer's own help line so it's a bit of a crap shoot.I guess what do you expect when they in essence win the race to the bottom?!

That's not been my experience. They delivered a Beko fridge/freezer to us that basically didn't work; one phone call saw a new one arrive the next day and the old one taken away. Certainly no attempt to dodge responsibility or pass us on to the manufacturer. The Moose said:

To be fair, even that's better than JohnLewis did to us with a faulty vacuum cleaner. They couldn't have been less helpful.I guess what do you expect when they in essence win the race to the bottom?!

If it's DOA then they've not got much choice. You've got 14 days now anyway under DSR - they make a virtue out of a 14 day return policy, but they're only offering what they're legally required to.I know quite a few of the AO.com team and they are a great bunch, they all seem really keen to do a good job and keep their reputation. We got our fridge freezer from them too and the front door was bashed in when it arrived. They went off and found another one the same day, which was great as they'd said it'd be the next day, and that was going through their normal customer channels without having to get in touch with anyone I knew there.

I had that, but the bloke made it sound like I'd already signed up for it so there was a moments confusion/panic about what was going on as I was sure I'd unticked all those readily-ticked-for-you boxes, as it wasn't even for me. And, not being funny, but £2/month for a extractor that cost £40 is a bit taking the punter for a mug, you think they'd be a wise to the fact their shoppers tend to be a bit more savvy or they'd be in a currys. The bloke trying to sell it to me was so set on the hard sell that in the end I had to tell him if he didn't give up I was going to call my credit card and cancel the transaction.
Also, I found the DX delivery a bit woefull, wouldn't leave with neighbour like every other courier on the planet and their collection depot had no parking, ended up carrying the thing for a couple of streets rather than risk double yellows, wise decision as despite being required to nominate a specific date for collection (no weekend available) they still took their sweet time sorting it.
I explained to him over the phone that if we accept that the average life of a dishwasher was 6 years, the age at which our Bosch called time, the £5 a month he was offering for appliance for life came to a total of £360, £110 more than the dishwasher I had just bought...
He still didn't accept I wasn't buying it...

I found this call annoying as well and they were being deliberately misleading and tried to sign me up without saying the price of the insurance. The bloke trying to sell it to me was so set on the hard sell that in the end I had to tell him if he didn't give up I was going to call my credit card and cancel the transaction.
They were otherwise very good.
