Interesting. Have you calculated the weight of it? I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure my Dad's caravan was made from much lighter materials and you could only get 3-400kg in it before it was too heavy to be towed legally behind a car.

That looks very impressive for a days work by yourself.I have a feeling that you will not be towing that and the reason you used a old caravan chassis is because it is a lot cheaper than footings and you will be keeping it in your garden as a sort of summer house.

I am not sure of the law regarding these things but think that as it has wheels and is mobile you do not need planning permission.

Is there any progress regarding your other topic.

A fake shepherd's hut?

Do you have ADHD? There's a half finished boat, the infamous "too busy to get my money back" pool thread and now this...

Towing - it I will be, but not far and not regularly.

Weight - it won't have too much in it, should be well below the original 'van weight.

What is it? Wait and see!

Two good days on it this weekend.

Started with the interior bottom half cladding.

Then the floor. In the interests of timing (I need to get this finished very quickly), it's just boring old laminate.

Doesn't look too bad for cheap flooring though.

First fix electrics going in.

Got sidetracked and knocked this up mostly from scrap and offcuts with some (ok, a lot) of help from my mate Rob - thanks Rob! It's a nice cream and candy cart, has a freezer in one end.

Important stuff finally getting done and finished. Now is the point you should start guessing what it is!

eBay bargain, proper bottle fridge for £26 (bought as not working and I fixed it).

Shelving and finishing bits starting to take shape.

Next job is to finish the roof, then the interior cladding, then paint, then second fix, and finally clad the outside. I need it done in just over two weeks....

Ditto. Can I ask how you worked out where to put the angled bracing on the framework?

Started making the door, but didn't buy enough timber.

Got some help to lift the roof sheets up, I'll bolt these down once I've done a bit more inside.

Started cladding inside. It's quick, should hopefully be done with cladding by the weekend which leaves next week to clad the outside.
