Does Mr Roofer know much about asbestos tiles? I'm having different stories from different roofers.

Usually Marley Eternits, mild Chrysotile content. Non notifiable, but need to go in a dedicated Asbestos skip, and consignment note given showing correct disposal.

Masks and paper suits to remove. Disposed of in the same skip.

I've got a few cracked ones that need replacement and also have a rafter thats got rot, quite bad rot, it goes up past the wall plate and I can't get to it without having to remove some tiles at the bottom of the roof, is it possible to remove some from the bottom or do they need to be removed from the top first?

Thanks smile

You would normally strip an Eternit in a triangular pattern from the top due to the rivet fixing system. They may not be the old ones with Chrysotile. Do they have a chalky looking surface ?
