Got that, any on-line suggestions too?
For a good job the worktops need templates making, then the suppliers make the worktops in their workshops, then they come and fit them. If you are having any kind of stone, on-line is a bit irrelevant.

I'm in the process of fitting my kitchen out with Minerva worktops. They look like stone, even feel cold to the touch, but can be fitted by a chippy with a standard router.

Got mine though Homebase with the kitchen, but there are other suppliers on the net.

Singlecoil has already made a local suggestion.
Did exactly that. Handed my business to Manimpex.

Silestone Quartz is what it says man made based on epoxy and Quartz dust 95% Quartz , silestone one is a Spanish manufacturer

We have just fitted it in our kitchen, it's great only real thing you need to be careful of is hot pans direct from hob

Looks great feels nice we used Rockamdco Hertford UK.

We're very happy with http://igranite.co.uk/ after 5 years. We chose real granite but they do all the man-made equivalents too. I love wood but wouldn't dream of using it for a kitchen worktop, concrete might be fun but all the plastic equivalents look naff imo and seem to cost more than the real thing.

Corian or Silestone

We've got Corian, very happy with it
