Evening all.

Looking for a quiet compressor to run in my shed. All i need it to do is to clean all the crud out of the guts of chainsaws. Needs to be fairly quiet but with loads of 'blow' - any suggestions as I'm fed up of looking.

Not sure about the quiet part but aldi have a small 2.5hp on at the moment, i use a similar small compressor for tyres etc and it builds pressure quickly so isnt running for long anyway.
Plenty of guts too for blowing out.

I have a Bambi in the workshop and it's about as quiet as a piece of machinery can be. Has plenty of puff for woodworking duties.

Cheers all. Couldn't justify "The Bambi" - Had an offer of £120 accepted on this ex demo little Sealey. Fairly space saving and should be easy enough to noise insulate it..............

Looks good there is a 2hp version for £139 which interest me can you let me know how loud quiet it is compared to a direct drive. Been after a belt drive due to being quieter but just checking it is quieter.

Medical compressors can be had from eBay. Bought mine for a few hundred and it's been faultless. About as loud as a fridge.
