Naturally fed pond in garden
Discussion
Not 100% sure what you're asking, but if it's naturally fed then it assumes an inflow and an outflow, if water is still getting out at the rate it's getting in then there should be no problem.
If it can come in faster than it can get out then there may be a problem if the banks have no freeboard.
If it is being filled in then it should have a channel constructed to keep the inflow/outflow.
Just to chuck in a few potential issues, any alteration to the route, or inention to pipe the flow, may require consent from either the Environment Agency or Local Authority. If the watercourse/stream feeding it is a habitat there may also be issues with filling in the pond.

OK, a vacant house we were close to buying a few months back used to have a fair sized naturally filling pond in the front garden, we only found this out after speaking to neighbours, as it has been filled in with rocks and gravel apparently. So the water is probably still there, is it just wet rocks and gravel now or are there likely problems waiting to happen ?
If it was naturally fed where did the water go on leaving it? More importantly where is it going now? Potentially somewhere there is an outlet pipe which is likely to get blocked leaving the purchaser with a very soggy garden. Also if it was just filled in presumably all the water is still there so you potentially have a bog in the making.
