Plumbing help with bath taps
Discussion
Gingerbread Man, can you advise how you add a tap connector on a rigid pipe as oppsoed to flexis? i.e how do you know how much lower down to put the pipe so you have enough thread to put the nut on but so you also have room to move the copper pipe out of the way when rmeoving the tap.
You'd typically plumb to a set of taps, so between two fixed points, the taps and the awaiting pipework. I'd wind the tap connector onto the tap tails and then go from there.
Tap connectors typically have a ridge which the fibre washer sits around/ over. It's normally only a few milimeters, so you don't need much room to spring to tap connector off of the tails. Other methods if there is no play including undoing the tap backnuts and lifting the tap up slightly to gain play that way.
