Decorating the lounge, what colours are "in" this year?

Aiming to repaint the living room over the next couple of weekends.
Fairly big room with french doors at one end, which I have previously painted a darker colour as a "feature wall" pine floor, antique brown leather sofa.
Have a large red rug, and brown curtains.
All colours chosen by the mrs, my turn to choose this time (she is away for the weekend!)

I'd avoid an "in" colour as you put it.

What comes in must go out!

I've done my lounge farrow and ball shaded white, I like it and nice and warm.

Paint it a colour you like your the one that's got to live with it.
