Hi

Looking for information and idea of second hand sale price for some furniture we were given as a gift.

Supposedly from Harrods, at least 15 years ago. I think they may be teak - but really no idea.

I see no makers marks!!!

Many thanks

It's the thinking man's rubberwood, used a lot in the rustic arty 'might-have-come-from-India' look.

It's made with wood from the Ugly tree. Value? Depends on how easy it is to dismantle it into pieces small enough to get into the woodburner. The ironwork might make that difficult to the point of driving the value below zero.

Value? Don't go planning on purchasing anything expensive with the proceeds from the sale.

As above, yep rubberwood. Woodburner candidate if you can be bothered to cut up, good for bolting a vice to if the height works.
Awful heavy fake 'design' and very council.

They may have done this type of crap at one stage but it's been hawked around by low end dealers and diy centres for a long time now.

Like Iroko and Brazilian Mahogany the sawdust particles of rubberwood can cause significant problems when inhaled including swollen gonads.
Nasty stuff.

Blimey, swollen gonads ! OP, have you noticed any improvement in you gonads size whilst owning these tables ?

Surely any table with magical powers like this will command a premium.

Mmmm .. how about a few million emails to sell packets of the stuff for, say, £10 a time.
