Its on the shelf in B&Q for anyone to buy!
I hane had it eat through a plastic waste pipe and leak through a wall frown
But it is bloody good stuff.
I think I'll pass on that, would be easier to take shower tray trim off and clean pipe rather than replace it!

It's probably one of those membrane traps that don't actually have a water seal, a bit like a squashed closed pipe that gets forced opened by water pressure.
I was having the same issue as the OP, except mine wasn't emptying until turning the shower off. water just sat an inch deep in the tray. I removed the plastic cup/trap thing from under the hole capping thing, and the problem has disappeared. This was a year ago. I stick a bottle of cleaning fluid down it every few months and it doesn't block up.

Problem solved, in my case the trap was utterly pointless and best removed.

Sorted mine smile I removed the plastic middle part, loads of hair & black st hurl I stuck my finger in the hole ( I hadn't realised the middle bit came out until I read the above so thanks for that!!!!) and could feel more st and something snagging. Took the tray cover off and the O ring on the trap was half in the pipe so hair & st was snagging on it rolleyes It was also weeping slightly (funny that with no O ring!) so a blessing in disguise. All back together and flowing fine smile

Ive found mine

Although the hair trap isnt as deep.

Looks like I need to remove the waste apperture to get to the actual hole, then I could plunge / snake / finger it ;-)

I had already tried to turn this, but it only has two notches so to speak, almost like it needs a specific tool, but maybe 2 people, 2 large flat heads?

That's exactly the same as mine, 8-P. Taking the hair trap out and leaving it out has fixed the problem and not caused any negative side effects. Me and the missus use the shower, we both have short hair though.

I think that's the same/very similar. Can you not pull the middle section out?? Here's mine (ashamed)

The bit on the left unclipped from the trap, you then lift out the basket type thing and you can see the hole at the bottom. Then it's time to finger away biggrin

Removal of hair trap doesnt affect mine, its a smaller trap than that one and has no impact on the water flow (mine basically fills a hole up and then overflows into the pipe out/actual plug hole at the top of the hole if that makes sense.

Unscrewed my aperture (think thats what its called) top bit anyway. It was sealed in so hurt my fingers unscrewing it - ouch(seems there is a tool to grab the two notches)

Didnt gain anything other than I realised there was a rubber seal there and if I wasnt careful I could get myself in trouble with a) not getting it sealed back up properly and b) not being able to thread it back up - as it was I had to fashion a tool from a coat hanger to llift the plug hole up and thread it back.

Im sure putting all of this together is easy when you are have access underneath, but when all youve got is access via the plug hole its not so straight forward so I put it all back together making sure to seal up very well! At least I know how to fix it if I get a water mark downstairs in a few weeks!
