Thanks mate, appreciate the links as I have a Scewfix nearby.

You do have to be 100% on what you're after though as the staff haven't a clue! hehe

DoubleSix, it looks as though they may 3/4 inch fittings on the ends of the flexis - could you post a pic of the flexi next to one of the existing fittings to compare? smile

2 of these should do the job:

I would remove the existing couplers as they do look a bit shonky. Easiest thing is just to cut them off. Use something like this though, don't use a hacksaw:

HTH mate smile

ETA - take the tap along to Screwfix just to be certain of the size of the fittings.

Thx bomma!

Sorry if I'm being thick but that link says 1/2 inch, do I not need 3/4 then?

Looks like the flexi tails have 3/8" fittings.

Specific adaptors are available , designing for the job.

No you need 1/2 inch, and no you're not being thick! Pipe fitting sizes can be strange things, if you measure them with a ruler a ''1/2 inch'' fitting is actually approx 3/4 inch, whereas a ''3/4 inch'' fitting is just over an inch wobble

Like I said, take the tap along with you to be 100% sure smile

Sorry DoubleSix they do look like 3/8 as Neil YVM said, so these are the bits you'll want:

Thanks to all for assistance, as I'm sure you've all gathered I'd be pretty stuck without the help so it's greatly appreciated.

Plumb Warehouse were offering best prices when I sourced mine. Very helpful over phone too.

Properly chuffed with the quality of the Grohe stuff. Paid a bit more to get a shower rail with solid metal brackets and clamps as even Grohe have that horrible faux chrome plastic stuff on their cheapest lines.

Just wanted to chime in to say what a fantastic job you've done so far. Great work. Given that you're also posting costs to date, I can't help but paraphrase the Mastercard slogan. Once you've finished it all, every time you go in to your bathroom, knowing that "i did that" will feel priceless.
Certainly did when I did my own bathroom a few years ago (not even a patch on what you've done however!).

However, and I should really have realised this as it was always thus, the pipes are not central between toilet and bath. Hence they still are on show when I place the pedestal frown

Is there anything I can do about it or do. Just have to live with it?

It'll look like a cock up either way. A ped which doesn't narrow at it's base?
