I've got a Makita BHP458 drill driver which is solid, powerful and should last the test of time

I've also got a Makita DTD148 Impact Driver which has pulled some horrendously welded in screws out of brickwork and wood

These are probably far better than you need for average DIY but in my opinion its worth paying a bit more to get something that can do the job quickly and easily and should last

Got the same; pair were around £500 when I got them a while back.

Cracking kit.

Another vote for the Bosch set.
