Thanks. Howard looks a bit too pricey
Lloyds might be an option. Can you give an indication of price for the requirement you had?
I'm looking at a 2.5m long space for fitted wardrobes with drawers and shelves.
He does some great high end stuff, but is a cracking carpenter, give him a shout anyway. Lloyds might be an option. Can you give an indication of price for the requirement you had?

Richard Parr - outstanding carpenter - you really do get what you pay for.

Exactly what type of thing do you want - I have a good (and cheap) carpenter based in Henley in Arden but he's more at home with MDF than veneer.
I'm only a few miles from there. I'm looking for a built-in wardrobe for our dressing room, an area off the main bedroom. The idea is that it will provide storage for my wife's clothes, so needs rails, drawers, shoe racks and shelving. I've measured and designed how we want it to be configured, given the space and the roof eaves which would mean a triangular section that could be used as shelving for bags/hats/women's tat.Beyond that job, I then have existing, old built-in wardrobes in other bedrooms that would benefit from new doors, side panels and a bit of general modernisation.
I should have put a thread up here when we were looking at getting fitted cupboards in our alcoves.
My wife chose a carpenter based on recommendations and after 6 months he still hasn't finished. The cupboards aren't even that great. (Not one of the people recommended on here though).

We used a chap called Steve, based just north of Banbury, 07811 874807
Excellent works & genuinely nice guy to boot. He actually dropped the price after quoting due to enjoying the work & us being a nice couple!
Did a 80cm x 30cm wooden frame, curved at the top, with toughened glass insert for a wall we had put in. Beautiful work & looks amazing, for about £150 all in.
Similar to this, but without the detail in the middle:

Have you had a quote from Llyods fitted furniture? Coventry based. I'm in Redditch and they built & installed what I designed/needed.
Just to update that I rescind this comment as they have to date failed to rectify a highlighted issue, albeit a small one they have basically stated they do what they want, not what the customer wants and have stopped communicating with me.And it really is just a small simple issue I queried and wanted rectifying
So avoid if you want things done exactly how you want your product to be finished
