Yay!

Another cctv thread.

Looking for a high quality 8 channel, 8 HD wireless camera, 2Tb system.

I want continuous audio and video recording for all 8 channels with built in IP server so no Chinese servers snooping on my rear entrance.

Budget up to around £500 - I'll fit it and set it up.

Any suggestions?

I fitted SWANN 8 channel from Costco, although same can be obtained from Maplin.

Are the cameras wireless?

So is it just a case of mounting the cameras, plugging in the box, connecting to network and away you go?
I'm a complete moron when it comes to things like this

Looks good except that they are not wireless cameras.

Getting power to the cameras won't be a problem, but routing the video cable back to the dvr will be.

I'm just a bit sceptical that wireless HD video streaming from 8 cameras will be reliable.

Hoping that someone will have first hand experience of a similar setup.

Don't forget your 'wireless' cameras will require power, either local or down a cable.

You need to look at a Plan B. Wireless is not great and especially for HD.

Unless you up the budget, HD won't be in the cards either.

Consider how many you need and look at something like Hikvision.
