Looking for some advice please. Only just had the new patio laid last week and think they have done an OK job. What is concerning me a bit now is that to side of my house, where I am storing wood, they seem to have raised this area and I am worried about the damp course. Bit annoyed with myself for not spotting it while they were putting it down..

I have taken a picture and would appreciate any expert views on this?

Thanks G

Without going into too much detail on if this raise will cause damp or not.
Would putting something between the wall and stacked wood ensure you dont have any issues, and be a quick fix?

Maybe a bit of plywood?

I assume the DPC is just above the air brick ?

If so then that raised portion on the right will need to be removed/remedied

Thanks - going to ask them to lower it down to the same level of as the rest of the patio. Cannot understand why they raised it in the first place. Maybe the paver was using a short cut..

Thanks

Hmmm, not sure about that.

And no, it's not acceptable what they've done.

Did the builders have any rubble to get rid of by any chance?!
