JayEmm has been doing a great job with his YT Chanel, so I figured I'd also add to the social media documenting of Evora 400 ownership smile

So I started a Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/HandmadeInHethel/ and blog http://www.Handmade-In-Hethel.co.uk

Today we took a trip to the Lotus factory in Hethel smile

Blog entry featured on the above links smile Throw me a like on Facebook to stay updated on my Evora 400 Hethel Edition order and ownership smile

Chassis #1250 is due into my ownership mid July smile

I have just threw you a like on FB, IMHO the best colour combo LRG and silver wheels. The forged wheels are really nice looking, shame to be hidden on black.

Enjoy, like you need me to tell you that though!

Nearly ready for collection

All being well, I should collect it Monday, then it's straight to Auto Curators (ex Shine On) for paint detail and protection before PaintGuard come and fit the front end XPEL paintshield.

Gonna be an exciting few weeks.

Pat @ Hofmanns has been fantastic to deal with.

I collected my new Evora 400 on Monday biggrin

So drove it home last night and then delivered it to Auto Curators this morning for them to perform a 'New Car Detail' on the car, before a paint protection film is applied tomorrow.

Fantastic weather to collect such a car! biggrin

So, my blog has been updated with a couple of new posts smile

That looks sweet. I don't know much about them and I thought the earlier ones looked very bland, but whatever has been done to this model lifts it to a totally different level. Very nice.

Even a Polo makes the Evora 400 looks small! Dumfries overnight.

Made it to Edinburgh this morning as part of the running in 1,000 miles (800 so far)

Stunning car, definitely looks better without the stripe. Nice write up too, I shall enjoy following this. Well done.

When was the last time you went for a drive for the sake of driving?

When did you last slip into the driver’s seat of quite easily the best car you’ve owned, turned the key and pressed the starter button, hearing the rorty exhaust bark into life before settling down into a rhythmic 6pot whisper.

Engaging sport mode suddenly kicks the noise back to the barks and growls as you pull out of the garage onto the street.

As I left the residential area and exited town into the countryside this morning, it dawned on me that I’ve not taken a car for a drive without a reason for a long time. Just for the sake of driving, just for the sake of pressing on through the countryside hearing the cacophony of sounds assaulting my ears.

I have to say, the Evora 400 is quite possibly the perfect sports car. The perfect composition of power, the Evoras 400 horses are definitely lively whilst being easy to control. Taming those 400 horses might take longer but learning is sure to be fun.

Feeling the gear change, with the solid aluminium gear knob in the palm of your hand, it’s easy to notice the changes Lotus have made to the gear linkages when moving from the older Evora to the new Evora 400.

Buzzing through the gears, the Evora gathers pace at an astounding rate of knots. Passing briefly through a small village, I quickly put the exhaust back into quiet mode, allowing a smooth silent pass through the village centre.

Again drawing looks from pedestrians, the Evora is definitely a great looking car, this time the visual appeal drawing attention rather than the noise levels.

After more fun on the roads of West Berkshire, I return the car to the garage with a satisfying grin and the sound of hot metallic pinks and clicks as the car cools down. Locking the car, hearing the soft whirring of the wing mirrors folding closed, it’s hard not to smile.

It’s safe to safe I’m happy with the 400 purchase and would recommend it to everybody. For those of you lucky enough to own one already, go drive it!

I notice on the 'ready to be collected' pics your Evora has the twin silver side stripes, then they're gone. I'm so glad! They are some of the worst factory decals I've ever seen, they completely ruin the shape of the side.

Lovely car. What size wheels are they? They look huge in the pictures! Almost after-market looking.

P.s. also glad you got rid of the stripes.

are the stripes in the initial photo not just a reflection? Really hard to tell smile!
