I've got Glens 420SE old one in my garage which I bought for £20. I'll be honest and say I'm not sure I'll use it. I was thinking of fitting it to the 350i but it would mean moving the aerial which I'm not keen to do. It needs some work and new studs bonding in but if anyone really wants it then happy to pass it on for suitable beer tokens.

The Zender spoilers were from BMW I think, 3 series if I recall correctly. I'll check to see if I can locate a part number.

Is the spoiler the typical SE type or the Zender type?

Zender type. Got quite a few marks on it and as usual paint is peeling due to the soft rubber material. Studs were knackered also so some new ones will need epoxying into place. It's this one...

The Zender 'Heckspoiler' on the wedge was also used by the Mercedes SLs (R107). 35382 was the model number. These look better (to me) after 30 or 40 years, so I'm trying to get one in shape for the 280i. It was on a blue 350i but needs to be Imperial/Macau Yellow (HK95).

Removing the old cracked paint from the rubber is insanely fussy work but it apparently can and must be done to color match. I'm using a sharp knife that runs neatly between the rubber and the paint on the long straight runs - but have to sand down the tight curves. I've put this off for about 6 years after sourcing the spoiler. I'll post pictures if successful - if you don't see them (ever) it went into the bin...

Redirecting an old thread ...

Does anyone know where I could obtain an SE spoiler for my 350i?

It had one as an option fitted new but has lost it along its 30 year life.

Would also be interested if I could “ borrow “ one to get a mould from.

Graham Walden at Black Cats Panels has all the old Wedge moulds including the SE spoilers so he can provide one if required.

I bought this to replace the 400 version I have on my 280DH, although I am pretty sure that it I am never going to fit it. Is this what you are looking for? A@

Mine is a fibreglass one (I fitted a Zender to one of my cars back in the day)... a rubber thing that came from the factory, I think they had used it to take a mould to create the fibre glass ones (which could then be painted 'properly').
